Aloe Production in other Mercosur countries

In Brazil, some aloe vera plantations are found, but is not really relevant yet. Plantations are located in Santa Catarina, Parana, Rio Grande do Sul and Sao Paulo states, with processing industries in the four states. Even with local offer, most of aloe is imported, but Brazil also exports aloe to Germany.

In that market, Aloetrade offer its technical assistance to producers, investors and entrepreneurs through direct information and consulting services, and cooperating as ad-honorem consultants to interested parties through the Universidade do Campo in Paraná State. 

In Paraguay, aloe industry shows small relevance, and only one firm produces aloe leaves and gel for export markets.

In Uruguay the situation is similar, and the market shows little activity in general terms. Only one producer and processor of aloe arborescens is found there.

In Chile, a few land areas are dedicated to aloe production into the Fourth Region with aloe barbadensis miller plants that have been imported from Venezuela, in cooperation with INIA and Fundación Chile. Chilean market by itself is not relevant yet.
